Hola familia!
Okay. Hi.
THIS IS THE BEST THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Wasnt quite sure if I was going to make it here alive. There was some incredible turbulance at the beginning of our flight and we basically flew through a lightening storm but all is well. Mom, I have my luggage. One bag is definitely going to need to use that 10 year warranty when I get back but it will work until then... haha We got off the plane and I immediately fell in love with this place. I will tell you more about that next week. It is a different life here. We sit on folding chairs on tile floor with no air conditioning, windows open, sirens roaring, little kids standing on the sides of streets... we will bring them new life.
Hermana Richards es mi companara. She is so awesome. The sweetest, smartest, most easy going but obedient sister. I have been blessed with all those in my district. I have made so many friends and laugh my head off every time we do anything. I dont even know what the heck I am eating half the time but I love it. Everyone makes me try things first... haha our teacher is native Guatemalan and he is SO great. Full of light and his eyes are so pure. He speaks rather fast and after explaining something one elder in our district stood up and yelled I cant understand anything!!! We laughed so hard. That is how we all feel but it is coming. I can pray and bear simple testimony. The Holy Ghost does the rest. It feels like this day will never ever end and I sware I have been here for 8 months. But I am so grateful to be here.
I love this gospel. The Savior lives and He is with me. I can feel His power and influence each time I open the scriptures and testify of Him.
All my love,
Hermama McGill
